This next pic is of a 1930’s Hall unit …sorry no before photo got carried away and started without taking any ….
I chose chalk paint in a lichen green . This little treasure I kept for myself and I used colours and finishes that are in keeping with my decor.
I painted several layers of chalk paint then mixed a blue wax together that I made and highlighted appropriate areas.
I then printed off an Arabesque picture I found on the internet and cut it out and used these to decoupage the doors… what do you think…
Another project that’s been re done several times as I could not seem to get it quite right … but now I am happy and this is going in my Granddaughter Rosie’s bedroom…
I painted it in chalk pink and decoupaged the tops and drawers then replaced the handles.
I will purchase a small floral shaped child proof mirror and attach it to the inside of lid for her.
A nice little magazine rack painted and decoupaged in french literary newspaper titles etc
